Frequently asked questions
Does the finder need an app?
No. They hold their phone near the tag and your pet's page opens in the browser. On some Android phones NFC has to be switched on in settings.
Which phones can read it?
It uses a standard NFC chip that works with iPhone and Android phones that have NFC.
How do I set it up?
When it arrives, tap it with your phone. Add your pet's details and your phone number, and choose a PIN so only you can change them later.
What if my phone number changes?
Tap the tag, choose “Edit”, enter your PIN and save. The tag itself never needs to change.
Do I have to add a name?
No, the name is optional. A tag without a name is a little cheaper and works exactly the same.
How long does delivery take, and what does it cost?
Made to order · ships in 3–5 working days. Shipping is €3.95 per order, however many tags you buy.
Can I return it?
Tags without a name can be returned within 14 days. Tags with your pet's name are made just for you, so they can't be returned unless they're faulty.
Is my information public?
What you put on the profile is visible to anyone who taps the tag — that's how finders reach you. You decide what to show, and you can change or delete it any time. Questions: tonomikmd@gmail.com.
Which tag should I choose?
Huella (the paw) is for dogs and comes in two sizes; Michi (the cat face) is one size, made for cats. Both have the same NFC chip and the same profile page.
Is Michi safe for my cat's collar?
Michi weighs about 5 g and hangs from its ring like any tag. For cats we always recommend a breakaway (safety) collar that opens if it gets caught.
