Simple by design
How PataTag works
No app, no subscription, no battery — just a tag on the collar and the phone in the finder's pocket.
How it works
-
1. Tap
When your tag arrives, hold your phone near it. It opens its own page — no app needed.
-
2. Set up
Add your pet's name, breed and your phone number, and choose a PIN so only you can edit it.
-
3. Back home
Clip it onto the collar. If your pet gets lost, whoever finds them taps the tag and calls you.
PataTag is not a GPS tracker: it can't show where your pet is. It makes it easy for whoever finds them to reach you.
What the finder sees
One tap, and they know who to call
The tag opens your pet's own page in the phone's browser. No app to install, nothing to type.
- Big tap-to-call buttons for up to three contacts
- Phone numbers shown as text too
- Photo, breed, microchip and vet if you want
- Shown in English or Spanish
You stay in control
-
Only you can edit
Changes are protected by your own PIN.
-
Update any time
New phone number? Edit it in a minute.
-
No subscription
Pay once for the tag. The profile page is included.
PataTag vs an engraved tag
| Feature | PataTag | Engraved tag |
|---|---|---|
| Update your number without a new tag | Yes | No |
| Up to three contacts | Yes | No |
| Photo, breed, vet and microchip | Yes | No |
| Big tap-to-call buttons | Yes | No |
| Pet's name on the tag | Yes | Yes |
| Readable without a phone | Name only | Yes |
The contact details need an NFC phone to read; the pet's name is printed on the tag.
From the founders
Made for Tilly, and now for yours
We’re Luca and Antonia, and this is Tilly. We wanted a tag that could say more than a name and a phone number, looked good on her collar, and never needed an app or a subscription. So we designed PataTag ourselves, and we still make every tag to order, one at a time.
